Yes, you heard that correct: the vast majority of dating-methods used to determine the age of the earth indicate a much younger earth than what our children are being taught in schools and what is being claimed on the evening news. In fact, contrary to popular opinion, the age of the earth as indicated of by the Bible, has never been disproven. We estimate this age to be less than 8,000 years, with an estimated creation date of approximately 5,500 – 5,600 BC.
Could it be that these old ages are so popular today because the secularists desperately need huge amounts of time to support their various evolution ideas?
Can we estimate the age of the earth by studying the Bible. Does the Bible give us a good record of earth's history.

"In this video, geologist Andrew Snelling provides a number of independent dating methods that confirm an age for the earth that is much younger than is the case in conventional timescales."
"Dr. Snelling completed a Bachelor of Science in applied geology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with first-class honors in 1975. His PhD in geology was awarded in 1982 by The University of Sydney for his research thesis titled “A Geochemical Study of the Koongarra Uranium Deposit, Northern Territory, Australia.” Dr. Snelling worked for six years in the exploration and mining industries in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory, variously as a field, mine, and research geologist. For over ten years, Dr. Snelling was a research consultant to the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization for an international collaborative research project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy which involved university and government research scientists from the USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Austria and Belgium. He is currently Director of Research for Answers in Genesis."
"Is it possible God used millions of years in the Genesis creation account? Could he have also used evolution? In this presentation, Dr. Tim Chaffey offers biblical answers to these questions and more." - AiG
Is the Earth 4.5 billion years old? How can we measure age with certainty? What about radiometric dating methods—don’t they prove millions and billions of years? Does the age of the Earth even matter?
Dr Mark Harwood discusses these topics and more, focusing especially on why an old Earth sits in conflict with the Bible, while also providing evidence for a younger age of the Earth.
"Why do biblical creationists insist that the earth is ‘young’? Hasn't science proven that it is millions/billions of years old?"
"Where does the ‘6,000 years old’ figure come from, anyway—and is the methodology used to get that figure defensible? What did the church fathers believe? And for Christians, isn’t this whole topic just a massive distraction from the ‘real’ issues of the Gospel?"
"Join Dr Mark Harwood for an engaging discussion in which he responds to some of the challenges skeptics have posed following his previous, highly popular, video on the age of the earth"
Dr. Robert Carter, PhD, takes a close look at the genealogies within the Bible.
"Join geologist Dr. Tas Walker for an insightful discussion of the history of the age of the earth. Learn how it has changed (drastically!) over time, and what drove the change. Most importantly, discover why the age of the earth even matters to the lives of everyday people." - CMI
"How old does the Bible say the earth is? Can we trust biblical chronology, and how close to an exact ‘age’ can we get? Is the Greek translation of the Old Testament a better record of the Bible’s history? These questions can be answered, but we have to think through the issues." - CMI
"Today, most Bible colleges, seminaries, Christian schools – even parts of the homeschool movement – do not accept the first eleven chapters of Genesis as literal history. In this presentation, Ken Ham reveals why the age of the earth is of critical importance, and why we must accept Genesis as literal history."
The CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis-US, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter, Ken Ham is one of the most in-demand Christian speakers in North America.

"Today, more than ever, biblical authority is under assault. What if everything you've been taught about the age of the Earth is fundamentally flawed? In this eye-opening interview, I challenge you to move past the first few minutes and get deep into the discussion—you might discover insights that could completely change how you view the history of our universe."
"Join me as I sit down with Dr. Jason Lisle, a PhD astrophysicist from the University of Colorado, as we explore scientific evidence that challenges conventional views about the age of the Earth. We'll tackle topics like the reliability of the genealogies in Genesis, archaeological controversies, the complexities of distant starlight, and the consistency of modern science with the biblical account of creation."
"Are secular scientists really unbiased, or does their dismissal of a young Earth stem from something else? Dr. Lisle shares compelling scientific arguments for a young universe, addresses common misconceptions, and debunks claims like the flat Earth theory – all while showing how true science aligns with the Bible."
"If you've ever wondered whether there's actual scientific evidence for young Earth creationism or just want a deeper understanding of the creation vs. evolution debate, this video is for you."
"... [R]eckoning by the sacred writings, we find that not 6000 years have yet passed."

"This eye-opening presentation from Bryan Osborne will show you why the earth isn’t billions of years old, as well as why science and the Bible clearly support an earth that’s only a few thousand years old." - AiG
"Where Did a Young-earth Worldview Come From? Simply put, it came from the Bible. Of course, the Bible doesn’t say explicitly anywhere, “The earth is 6,000 years old.” Good thing it doesn’t; otherwise it would be out of date the following year. But we wouldn’t expect an all-knowing God to make that kind of a mistake."
"God gave us something better. In essence, He gave us a “birth certificate.” For example, using a personal birth certificate, a person can calculate how old he is at any point. It is similar with the earth. Genesis 1 says that the earth was created on the first day of creation (Genesis 1:1–5). From there, we can begin to calculate the age of the earth."
